NH Ties for Second in Workplace Safety

Not too many calendars make note of it, but today is Workers Memorial Day. It's a day set aside by Organized Labor to memorialize the men and women who die each year on the job. And Peg Semenario, Health and Safety Director of the National AFL-CIO told NHPR's Mark Bevis those numbers add up to thousands. tape: According to the national data, New Hampshire ties with Vermont as the second safest state for workers. Rhode Island ranked at the top of the list. Wyoming had more deaths on the job per capita than any other state. Web resources:
