“The conventional wisdom driving today’s politics and public life is dead wrong” says national pollster and Harwood Institute founder Richard Harwood. In a new book he suggests that instead of being a nation divided between politics, income or belief, Americans are simply retreating from each other and that to advance again means coming back together in public forums, public centers and in our public affairs. Laura's guest is Richard Harwood, President and Founder of the Harwood Institute For Public Innovation and author of "Hope Unraveled: The People's Retreat and Our Way Back"

*Richard Harwood will be speaking at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College in Manchester tomorrow night at 7 and on Thursday afternoon he’s be speaking at an invitation only group of civic leaders and philanthropists at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.*
