John Sununu's Politics

Senator John Sununu has pushed for more deliberation on the renewal of the USA Patriot Act since it first came up in Congress last year. Salon.com news bureau chief and longtime Washington-watcher Walter Shapiro maintains the New Hampshire senator is not defying President Bush so much as he's sticking to his deeply held conservative and libertarian beliefs. We'll talk with Shapiro about Sununu's position.

Also on the show, we'll talk about the struggles of starting a small theater in small-town New Hampshire. Two siblings and their spouses came to Laconia a couple of years ago to open the Winnipesaukee Playhouse. But filling all the seats has been more difficult than they imagined.
