Entries into NHPR’s Car Raffle are $50 each. Odds of winning are based on the number of individuals contributing. Void where prohibited. Open only to legal residents of New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont, 18 or older. Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 am on June 1, 2009 and ends at 12:00 pm on August 1, 2009. All times referenced for the NHPR Summer Car Raffle are Eastern Time.

ELIGIBILITY: Employees of New Hampshire Public Radio and their immediate family members are ineligible.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing through the utilization of random.org on August 1, 2009 and announced at approximately 6:00pm on August 1, 2009. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of NHPR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner(s) cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner(s) selected by random drawing.

EARLY BIRD DRAWING: Enter by June 27, 2009 and you’ll qualify for an early-bird drawing for a $2,000 gas card. Participants in the early-bird drawing are automatically entered in the grand prizes drawings. Winner of the gas card will be selected in a random drawing through the utilization of random.org on June 27, 2009 and announced at approximately 6:00pm on June 27, 2009. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of NHPR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected by random drawing.

PRIZES: Grand prize is a choice of a 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid (value: $23,800), a 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid (value: $23,770) or a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid (value: $27,995). Second prize is a Trek 7.5FX Bicycle donated by S & W Sports of Concord, NH (value: $1,000). Third prize is a Heritage FeatherLite 9.5 Kayak donated by Portsmouth Kayak Adventures of Portsmouth, NH (value: $675). NHPR reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value in the event of the unavailability of a prize.

GENERAL: By entering the contest, participants agree that New Hampshire Public Radio, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. Early-bird prize, 2nd prize and 3rd prize must be taken within two months from the date of award. Contributions are not tax deductible. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. No substitutions for a prize. New Hampshire Public Radio may use winner’s name and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation.

IMPORTANT CAR INFORMATION: Upon selection of car by the winner, winner can choose a Toyota Prius Hybrid, Honda Insight Hybrid or Ford Fusion Hybrid available on the Grappone Auto lot. If the car they choose is not available, Grappone Auto will order it. NHPR cannot guarantee immediate delivery of the vehicle. Delivery of ordered cars may take up to 7 months to arrive.

TAX OBLIGATIONS: All appropriate taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the winner's responsibility. For any prize valued at $600 or more, an IRS form 1099 with the above stated value will be sent at year-end. Winner of the car will be required to pre-pay taxes to New Hampshire Public Radio.
