Governor Seeks Cooperation Amid Fiscal Worries

Lynch uses State of the State speech to call for government belt-tightening and help for North Country. GOP says Lynch should have crimped spending last year, when Democrats passed a budget that increased spending by 17 percent.

The State of the State Budget

A fifty-million-dollar short fall, a halt on spending and the real possibilities of a major downturn in the national economy have many in New Hampshire worried about the condition of our budget. We’ll crunch the numbers and look forward to what the Governor may say about it in his State of the State speech on Wednesday.
