Seacoast Voters Share Their Views on Primary Candidates

Portsmouth and Rye share an alluring seacoast known to attract tourists from around the nation. But from a political perspective –the neighboring communities are quite different.

Rye has the highest percentage of registered Republicans of any Seacoast community -- 37%. Portsmouth has a similar distinction – but on the Democratic side with 38%.

NHPR’s Dianne Finch went to Rye and Portsmouth to get a sense of what voters are thinking about.

State Releases Reports on Schools' Progress

New Hampshire's Department of Education has released the Adequate Yearly Progress reports for the state's public schools.

The reports are required by the Federal No Child Left Behind Act to allow the public to see how well the state's schools are performing.

Commissioner Tracy tells NHPR's Mark Bevis that the state's schools did pretty well.
