Power Plant Owners Reap Millions in Plan to Assure Sufficient Electricity

Power plant owners in New Hampshire and around New England are enjoying a generous windfall these days.

And they will be for the next two years.

They’re being paid under a plan worked out by the six New England states and the company that oversees the region's electric grid, I-S-O New England.

The money is coming from ratepayers.

And it's aimed at guaranteeing the region has enough electricity leading up to 2010.
