We’ll talk with some of the playwrights about what’s good and what’s not so good about trying to write such short, to-the-point performances. Our Guests Are: Marisa Kraus Smith, playwright and event organizer. Her ten-minute play is called The Dress Rehearsal Joe Applegate, playwright and editor for the Valley News. His ten-minute play is called Is Hope Dead? Bill Phillips, screenwriter and professor at Dartmouth’s Department of Film and Television Studies. His ten-minute play is called Breaking Up. Keeping Track of Rail in New HampshireBy Laura Knoy on Thursday, February 8, 2007.Despite decades of effort by train activists, the Granite State is far from being “all aboard†when it comes to funding train projects. We’ll look at the few success stories and the many challenges other projects have faced - political, financial and practical. Laura's guests are Peter Griffin, President of the New Hampshire Railroad Revitalization Association and Representative Ken Weyler, Republican from Kingston who has served on the finance committee for twelve years. We'll also hear from Wayne Gagne, Chair of the Nashua Commuter Rail Advisory Committee and Bob Sculley, President of the New Hampshire Motor Transport Association. |
