Mayor Blastos is Stepping Down

After 8 years of serving as Keene’s Mayor, the colorful Michael Blastos is stepping down next week. The 74 year-old mayor decided not to run again, because he says he just can’t keep up the pace.

The Keene Sentinel’s Donna Moxley takes a look at the legacy of the man credited with bringing civility to the city council and Green policies to local government.

Keene Plans to Adapt to Climate Change

Many cities across the US are taking steps to save energy and reduce the pollution that causes climate change.

But one New Hampshire city is the first in the nation to come up with a plan to prepare for the effects of global warming.

New Hampshire Public Radio’s Amy Quinton takes a look at how the city of Keene is preparing to adapt to a warming climate.
