Hunger in New Hampshire

As many Americans worry in general about the economy, some people feel those concerns every day.

Tens of thousands of Granite Staters worry about getting enough to eat.

The problem is particularly serious in The North Country.

To make matters worse contributions to food banks are way down across the state.

NHPR Correspondent Chris Jensen has the story.

McCain Criticizes Longtime Giuliani Associate Kerik

Republican John McCain says Rudy Giuliani's former police commissioner Bernard Kerik was irresponsible when he worked for US government in Iraq.

McCain's criticism comes on the same day as Kerik surrendered to authorities to face corruption and tax charges in New York.

Mitt Romney Speaks in Hudson

Remembering New England’s Fallen Veterans

204 service members from our region have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, a new documentary honors and remembers them, through the families of eight of the fallen. We’ll talk to the film’s producer and some of the families involved - conversations that bring these faraway wars much closer to home.

Bill Morrissey

Bill Morrissey's albums have been selling in record stores for decades. Now he's bypassing all that and selling his new cd, "Come Running" exclusively online and at his concerts. We're going to talk with Bill Morrissey about the changing music business and he'll play some new tunes for us in the studio.

Bill spoke with us before his appearance at NHPR's "Folk Show Folk Show" in May. The event took place in Keene, where Bill shared the stage with Cheryl Wheeler, Anais Mitchell and Brooks Williams. You can listen to recordings of their performances at the Folk Show Folk Show website.
