Passionate Debate Stirs Over Fort Rock Farm in Exeter

A group of residents in Exeter are fighting to preserve a 53 acre historic farm in Exeter.

St. Michael’s Parish, the largest Catholic church in town, has a proposal to build a new church and parish campus on the site of Fort Rock Farm.

But opponents say Fort Rock Farm isn’t appropriate for development – and have formed a non-profit organization to fight it.

New Hampshire Public Radio’s Amy Quinton reports.

Groveton Paper Workers Could Lose Severance

The United Steel Workers officials say recently laid off Groveton paper mill workers have little to be thankful for this holiday.

They say company officials are threatening to take severance packages away from some workers if the union doesn't stop fighting for a better deal.

NHPR correspondent Chris Jensen has the story.

NY Firefighters Say Rudy Giuliani is not America's Mayor

Easlier this week, New York firefighters, and family members who lost loved ones on September 11th traveled to New Hampshire.

The group, 9/11 Firefighters and Families came armed with one message: former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani isn’t fit to be president.

Illinois Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama

The Junior Senator from Illinois made a big splash when he entered the race for president back in February and in recent weeks has been catching up to Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton in the polls. We’ll learn a little more about Barack Obama, ask him about the major issues, including the war in Iraq and his plan for healthcare, and get a sense of how the campaign will progress as we head towards the New Hampshire primary.
