State Prepares for Iraqis' Arrival

Over the next year some 12,000 Iraqi political refugees are expected to be resettled in the United States.

New Hampshire is likely to receive 100 to 150 of them.

But people charged with preparing for the refugees’ arrival worry they might not be well received.

New Hampshire Public Radio’s Dan Gorenstein reports.

Nashua's Race for Mayor

Nashua’s Mayor Bernie Streeter retires from office this January, after serving two, four-year terms.

And the race to replace him is expected to be close.

The top two vote getters in September’s non-partisan primary – Donnalee Lozeau and Jim Tollner – face off on November 6.
