Dino Loading Zone

The See Science Center in Manchester will be opening its new dinosaur exhibit this Saturday.

The dinosaurs arrived by truck Tuesday from Los Angeles, California, and the center's staff have been working hard all week to get things ready for opening day.

Guitarist and songwriter Chris Smither has been writing, performing, and recording since 1970. He's got 12 albums under his belt and had his songs covered by Bonnie Raitt who's called him one of her favorite songwriters of all time. His newest album "Leave The Light On" features appearances by neo-gospel group Ollabelle and renown bluegrass fiddler Tim O'Brien. Chris Smither will play songs from his new album and talk about his remarkable career.

DES Commissioner Tom Burack

When former DES Commissioner Mike Nolin's term expired, he was replaced by Hopkinton lawyer Tom Burack, who came in at a time when many were displeased with how the Department of Environmental Services was being run. Burack has long been involved in the environment in New Hampshire, having chaired the LCHIP program and sat on various task forces and steering committees. We'll sit down with him and see how he's settled in in the few short months he's had in office and see what his goals and priorities for the new year and the new job are.

Northern New England's First Utility Grade Wind Farm to Go On-Line This Month

Wind power projects are springing up all over the state of Maine.

But one project in Aroostook County is set to become the first utility-grade wind farm in New England.

Developers say the 28 wind turbines scattered along the ridge of Mars Hill should all be on line by the end of this month.

Maine Public Radio's Sara Nics recently stopped by the town of Mars Hill to visit the wind farm and hear what nearby residents think of it.
