Economic officials in the North Country say the closing of a Berlin pulp mill is yet another sign the region's economy is undergoing dramatic changes.

Berlin Residents Mixed on Mill Shut Down

Emotions are decidedly mixed in Berlin over the announcement that the pulp mill will close.

Some see promise for the city.

Others just see the threat of unpaid bills, and the possibility of relocating.

Fraser Papers CFO Tells Reasons for Pulp Mill Shutdown

Fraser Papers announced Tuesday that it is closing the Burgess Pulp Mill in Berlin. The shutdown throws 250 employees out of work as of May 6th. Peter Gordon, the Chief Financial Officer of Fraser discusses the reasons for the shutdown.

School Funding Plan Headed Back to Supreme Court

A Superior Court judge has ruled that the state's school funding law is unconstitutional. The suit was brought by the Londonderry and Merrimack school districts and 19 other communities. New Hampshire Public Radio's Jon Greenberg has more.
