As of last Sunday, the tokens are no good at toll booths, although drivers have been finding ways to disguise them. The DOT is working on various buy-back proposals, but no plan has been given the stamp of approval. In the meantime, the owner of a bookstore in Amherst has an offer he knows you can't refuse. House Rebuffs Lynch, Democrats on Ethics BillBy Josh Rogers on Thursday, January 5, 2006.The New Hampshire house has adopted a sweeping plan to deal with executive branch ethics. The plan was championed by Republicans and passed on a partisan vote. Enacting an executive branch code of ethics has been top priority of Governor Lynch, but he says he'll veto the measure if it reaches his desk in its current form. |
