Actress Kate Phillips starred in dozens of movies in the 30's and 40's and was a TV and film screenwriter in her own right. She left the west coast to beome a teacher in the Monadnock Region and eventually a teacher at Keene State College. Her talent for screaming in films can still be heard in the movies and sound effects of today. This repeat Front Porch interview represents one of Host John Walters' favorites.

How to Meet a Millionaire

In 1997, he won a $66.4-million-dollar Powerball jackpot; he's president of All Star Wrestling, a regional wrestling organization. Jazz Man Fred Haas

Trumpeter Lon Bronson

Lon Bronson showed musical promise from the first day he picked up the trumpet as a fifth grader in Keene. He excelled in classical trumpet in college but for the past 20 years, Lon Bronson has been living in Las Vegas and setting the strip on fire with his band, Lon Bronson All-Star R&B, Rock & Soul Revue.

Producer Paul Lally

Paul Lally has been the man behind the curtain for almost all of his life -- whether it was as a kid providing the voices for the family pets, or as a Public Television producer on Mr Roger's Neighborhood and Ciao, Italia. Singer Loli Marquez-Sterling

James Whitmore

Actor James Whitmore got his acting break in 1947 while working with the Peterborough Players. In the 50 years since then, he's continued to return to Peterborough repeatedly. He is best known for his one-man shows, his roles in films like Planet of the Apes and The Shawshank Redemption. James Whitmore appears in Inherit the Wind with the Peterborough Players July 13-July 31.
