A Look at the new Education Funding Plan

FOR THE THIRD TIME IN AS MANY YEARS, NEW HAMPSHIRE LAWMAKERS HAVE PASSED A NEW EDUCATION FUNDING PLAN.

AND THE GOVERNOR HAS SAID HE WON'T VETO IT.

THE PLAN SPENDS ABOUT 40 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR MORE OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS THAN THE STATE SPENT THIS PAST YEAR.

DOUG HALL IS THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE CENTER FOR PUBLIC POLICY STUDIES.

HE LAID OUT THE NEW PLAN FOR NHPR'S MARK BEVIS.

Extreme Entrepreneuring

Evan Dybvig was one of the leading freestyle skiers in the world during most of the 1990's. He won two US championships, was a regular at the top of the World Cup standings, and was on two US Olympic Teams. Today, he's working to buy the former Whaleback Ski Area in Enfield and transform it into an all-season center for action sports for people of all abilities. We'll find out how he sees his vision becoming a reality.

Summer Books
