The State of Stem Cells

A national advisory group recently released stem cell research guidelines which conflict with federal policy. Meanwhile, individual states like Maryland and Massachusetts are trying to legislate state funding. We're looking at the state of stem cells, from politics to science. Laura's guests are Eric Cohen, Director of the Biotechnology & American Democracy Program at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, Editor of The New Atlantis and Consultant to the President?s Council on Bioethics and Dr. M. William Lensch, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fellow at Children's Hospital Boston, Researcher at Harvard Medical School and member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
