Franklin School Board Wants Charter Revoked

The Franklin School Board is asking the State Board of Education to revoke the charter for Franklin Career Academy.
The Career Academy was the first charter school approved in the state.
The Franklin school board says the charter school is financially unstable and not fulfilling its mission.
New Hampshire Public Radio's Amy Quinton reports.

Helms To Return To UNH

Lynch administration adviser Ned Helms to resume his post as director of the UNH Institute for heath policy and practice. Helms' departure comes after Republicans questioned the propriety of Helms working full-time for Lynch while collecting a $113,000 salary from UNH.

100 Years of Einstein

1905 was Albert Einstein's so called "miracle year" when he released four papers that changed our understanding of the universe. On the anniversary of his death this week, we'll look at Einstein the man, his theories, and how his work still surrounds us today. Laura's guests are Marcelo Gleiser, Appleton Professor of Natural Philosophy and Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College who has contributed an essay to an upcoming book on Einstein called "My Einstein First" and is the author of "The Dancing Universe" and Stanley Deser, Ancell Professor of Physics at Brandeis University.

NH Audubon's David Houghton
