It's a perennial debate in the State House that's part of a much larger debate nationwide... medical malpractice reform. It pits trial lawyers against doctors against insurance agents as to how claims of medical negligence should be handled and settled. Despite deep concerns surrounding the economy, foreign policy and health care, medical malpractice reform stays a heated discussion.
