Sen Gregg's Reaction to Bush Budget Plan

Much of the attention in Washington today was on President George Bush's budget proposal and Congress's reaction to it.

New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg will play an influential role in that budget debate.

As chairman of the Senate Budget committee, he will have the first crack at squaring President Bush's proposals with reality.

Senator Gregg believes the President's goal of reducing the deficit by half - in the next four years - is a feasible one.

But Democrats say the Republican agenda is all smoke and mirrors.

Tinkering with the state's health insurance law

In 2003, steeped in controversy, Senate Bill 110 changed the state's health insurance law. Since then the debate has not gone away. During the gubernatorial race, for example, the issue was a political football. After his electionn, John Lynch promised to repeal the bill. But as the debate smolders, NHPR's Kerry Grens reports, many health insurers are leery of such a radical approach.

Gold Medalist Chris Devlin-Young

Campton resident Chris Devlin-Young has won many championships in his career and won gold in two Paralympic Games. He’s competed against able-bodied athletes in Extreme Snowboarding. Today he coaches a disabled ski team, and designs better equipment for disabled skiers.
