Authors concluded female offenders lacked the access to academic and professional training, as well as the counseling to succeed after their release. At the time, the Department of Corrections declined to offer an official reaction to the report, but promised a formal assessment in the next 4-8 weeks. But as New Hampshire Public Radio's Dan Gorenstein reports, seven weeks later there is still no word from the DOC.
