ArchivesState Waiting for Federal Home Heating DollarsBy Rebecca Kaufman on Thursday, December 22, 2005.Temperatures in New Hampshire have already plummeted into the single digits. And this year, paying to stay warm is expected to be more difficult than ever for many Granite Staters. The U.S. Congress took up several bills this week that included federal money for low income heating assistance programs. But that money has been stripped from at least one of those bills. And it’s now unclear when that financial aid will arrive…..and whether it will be enough. New Hampshire Public Radio’s Rebecca Kaufman has more. listen:
