  Maine Law Restricts Sale of Cold MedsBy Sara Nics on Wednesday, October 26, 2005.A new law will go into effect next month in Maine that will restrict the sale of some over the counter cold medicines. Drugs that include pseudo-ephedrine will be kept behind the counter and sold in limited quantities.
