Chandler Reports Thousands in Hidden Contributions

Political fundraising committees in New Hampshire come in several forms. There are candidate committees, political action committees and others. One thing they all have in common is that the flow of money in and out must be made public.

But there is a odd class of committees where the requirements are not so clear. For seven years, House Speaker Gene Chandler has received tens of thousands of dollars for his personal use from a committee called simply, Friends of Gene Chandler.

Until today, the names of the donors have never been reported.
