ArchivesBuilding a Bike Path from Maine to FloridaBy Jon Greenberg on Monday, September 20, 2004.Today, a group of nine bicyclists pass through New Hampshire's seacoast on the inaugural run of the East Coast Greenway. Their trip is a case where the medium is the message. Their goal is to draw attention to a proposed bike path that they hope someday will extend from Maine to Florida. If all goes well, they will finish their ride to the Sunshine State the day after the presidential election in November. The East Coast Greenway is an ambitious project that has been inching toward completion since the early 1990's. New Hampshire Public Radio's Jon Greenberg has more. New Paper For Young People Hits Streets in NashuaBy Rebecca Kaufman on Monday, September 20, 2004.A new publication is on the streets in Nashua, Manchester, and Lowell, Massachusetts. It's a free weekly magazine called One-Six-Eight and it's a product of the Telegraph....the company that publishes the daily newspaper the Nashua Telegraph. And while 1-6-8 is a new paper, it's not a newspaper. It's billing itself as a lifestyle magazine for young adults. It's filled with suggestions about where to eat, drink, and have a good time. New Hamphire Public Radio's Rebecca Kaufman has the story. |
