During that period of time, they’ll know in which states Ralph Nader’s name will appear on the November ballot. The process of getting on the ballot is straightforward if tedious one for the independent candidate…it requires thousands and thousands of signatures. As the deadline to submit those signatures approaches, New Hampshire Public Radio’s Rebecca Kaufman checked in with Nader’s effort in the Granite State. Five Towns to Vote on Fluoridating WaterBy Rebecca Kaufman on Friday, August 6, 2004.On September 14th, residents in Manchester, Hooksett, Goffstown, Bedford and Londonderry will vote on whether to continue adding fluoride to their water. It will be the second time Manchester has voted on the issue, and the first time for the other communities. The upcoming referendum has also provided a new forum for those on either side of the fluoride debate. For them, the question of whether or not to fluoridate couldn’t be clearer. But as New Hampshire Public Radio’s Rebecca Kaufman reports, the rest of population is a bit murkier on just what comes out of the tap.
