 Disgruntled Republicans Eye AlternativeBy Dan Gorenstein on Monday, August 30, 2004.Some Republicans disappointed with Governor Craig Benson have launched a write-in campaign for Republican state Senator Dick Green. With no money and no staff, organizers however, have less than three weeks to attract fellow disgruntled Republicans. Certain GOP circles welcome the opportunity to register a protest vote for governor. But many in the party just dismiss the fledgling campaign as something that is going nowhere fast.
