We'll talk with two Granite State contestants. Kristin Luckenbill is a Dartmouth graduate who's earned a spot on the U.S. Soccer team. And Laura Gerraughty garnered lots of attention for breaking all of New Hampshire's high school girls' shot put records when she was a student at Nashua High. Three Days of Rain, Mud and Music...By Steve Zind on Monday, August 16, 2004.65-thousand fans of the band Phish steadily drifted away from Coventry, Vermont today. Over the weekend, they endured massive traffic jams, torrential rains and mud, lots of mud, to attend the band's last concert. Attendance would have been higher, but concert organizers had to turn ticket holders away because of the weather. But fans did get a break for the band's final show. We'll try to get a handle on the Google phenomena, including some history and a look at their recent bid to go public. Laura's guests are John Palfrey, Executive Director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and Kevin Lee, CEO and co-founder of Did-it.com, a search engine marketing company. We'll also hear from Philipp Lenssen, a web developer who runs the daily Google Blogoscoped, a weblog that tracks all things Google. He is also a Google Answers Researcher. |
