Fresh Cow Juice, Delivered to Your Door

Today's milkmen have more than milk to offer – they consider themselves an extension of the local farmers' market. Their products are fresh, local, and friendly, and they're delivered to your door. New Hampshire Public Radio's Raquel Maria Dillon went on a milk run with a local deliveryman and filed this report.

Terry Moore

Newport resident Terry Moore is a completely self-taught woodworker. (Originally from Wales, he settled in New Hampshire after the rock musical he was touring with disbanded, but that?s another story.) He started as a carpenter and now he creates one-of-a-kind furniture. One of his pieces is in the permanent collection of the Currier Museum. He?s one of the founders of the New Hampshire Furniture Masters and he runs the Furniture Masters? training program at the state prison in Concord.

We'll also visit the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Fair at the Mount Sunapee Resort. The Fair runs until Saturday, August 14. http://www.nhcrafts.org/annualfair.htm

We'll look into the history, challenges and hopes for loggers and logging in our state. Mike's guests are Don Quigley, Professor of Forestry at the University of New Hampshire's Thompson School, and Jasen Stock, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association.
