The Whales of Summer

In the summer and fall many whales call the Gulf of Maine home. Iain gives you a primer on the four species found just off of New Hampshire's coast. You'll also hear the songs of the humpback whale.

NH Delegation Reacts to 9-11 Commission

Yesterdays report by the 9/11 Commission called on Congress to act quickly to put in place several reforms.

And at least one Senate Committee is answering the call by scheduling hearings.

But concerns about inertia remain among New Hampshire's Congressional delegation.

Local Laconians Want to Limit Bike Week

A group of Laconia residents wants the town to consider shortening Bike Week.

The group is out collecting signatures for a referendum they want to present to the City Council.

They say Bike Week is noisy and disruptive and that most residents don't want it to last so long.

NASCAR in New Hampshire

It's the number one spectator sport in the state, and it's not politics! New Hampshire fans love the drama, intrigue and high speed stakes of NASCAR racing. And for one weekend in July, a local racetrack become's the state's second largest city, welcoming over 100,000 visitors. Laura's guests are Gordon Kirby, a racing journalist who travels the world covering the sport of auto racing, Kevin Provencher, Sports Writer who covers NASCAR for The Manchester Union Leader, and Pete Pistone, Executive Editor and Sports Journalist for Racing One Magazine. Petes' uncle was "Tiger" Tom Pistone who raced NASCAR in the 50s.
