McLaughlin Pulls Out of Democratic Governor's Race

Former Attorney General Phil McLaughlin has withdrawn from the Democratic race for Governor.

McLaughlin's announcement comes just one day after former USNH Board of Trustees' Chair John Lynch threw his hat into the ring.

School Reform Takes Another Step

New Hampshire education officials met in Concord this week to do some big thinking.

The State Board of Education hosted what was billed as the biggest education reform effort since 1919.

With statewide school regulations due to expire later this year, the board is considering a number of major changes.

For some the all day workshop was an opportunity to reinvent public education.

But as New Hampshire Public Radio's Dan Gorenstein reports for others, that radical spirit took a back seat to the more practical concerns.

LL Bean to Sue for Pop Up Ads

Outdoor retailer LL Bean has filed suit in US District Court in Maine against four companies that use pop-up box advertising on Bean's own website.

The complaint accuses Nordstrom, JC Penney, Atkins and Gevalia of trademark infringement, false advertising, deceptive practices and unfair competition.
