Gay Marriage Ban Heads To House

House lawmakers will soon take up the controversial bill that would ban gay marriage. The state Senate passed the measure Thursday by a margin of more than 3 to 1. The legislation would also prohibit the state from recognizing any civil union or gay marriage sanctified outside state borders. New Hampshire Public Radio's Dan Gorenstein spoke with House lawmakers about the bill's prospects.

Jack Kerouac's Nashua Connection

Jack Kerouac is remembered as a rootless rebel, but he frequently wrote about his French-American family- many of whom lived in Nashua. We'll hear about Kerouac's Nashua connection, and the two sides of his life and work, from Kerouac scholar and Unitarian minister Stephen Edington.

Today is Kerouac's birthday and the organization Lowell Celebrates Kerouac is hosting a celebration tonight at Capo's in Lowell.

But in recent years, high school coaches are finding their job a little less fun. Low pay, difficult parents, and disciplining players are just some of the reasons. Manchester Spammers Had Big Plans

The internet giant AOL is going after a Manchester based spam operation.

AOL is using the three month old federal law called CAN-SPAM.

The move comes just as the spammers were about to launch an even bigger venture.
