By Laura Knoy on Monday, March 1, 2004.

Heroin is becoming a growing problem in New Hampshire. It is cheap and readily available. We'll look at how law enforcement is dealing with the issue and also how hotbed areas like the Seacoast and towns like Nashua and Salem are addressing the problem. Mike Arnold's guest is Riley Regan, Director of the New Hampshire Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Recovery, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services. We'll also hear from William Baker, Police Chief in Seabrook, Jacqui Abikoff, Executive Director of Horizons Counseling Center in Gilford and also President of the NH Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors Association, and Sergeant Ellen Arcieri with the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics Investigation Unit.
