Abstract Art from a MasterBy John Walters on Thursday, September 25, 2003.One of the most renowned painters of today. Jules Olitski came to prominence as an abstract artist in the 60s. He's been a leading figure in the art world ever since. In recent years, he's done a series of paintings from nature, inspired by his home on an island in Lake Winnipesaukee. He talks about his art and his life, including his very traumatic childhood.
