Who owns the airwaves? The FCC reviews proposals to change media ownership rules. Proponents say changes will level the playing field in a competitive information age. But critics say changes mean more media consolidation leading to fewer independent voices on the air. Laura talks with Allan Sprague, President New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters, Dick Osbourne, formerly with WKXL in Concord and former National Association of Broadcasters board member, and Jeff Bartlett, General Manager WMUR-TV and other guests TBA.

A New Band with Very Deep Roots

Two members of the new three member band Twinemen were in Morphine- one of the great alternative-rock bands of the 1990s. That group came to a sudden end four years ago when lead singer Mark Sandman died of a heart attack during a concert. Twinemen is a new venture, but it carries forward the style and spirit of Morphine. Twinemen drummer Billy Conway and singer Laurie Sargent live in Hopkinton. They talk about their careers in music, Billy's time with Morphine, and their new project.

A Shake Up for Health Insurance Market?

Statehouse leaders say they want to attract more insurance companies to the state, so employers have more plans and products to choose from. But others say the proposed changes may cultivate competition, but that won?t help small businesses and families. New Hampshire Public Radio?s Raquel Maria Dillon reports.
