The Program launched in 1999, but only one company has stepped up to join New Hampshire's greenhouse gas registry. Still many scientists say cutting such emissions is the key to controlling global warming and numerous health problems. NHPR correspondent Brian McWilliams has this NHCLU Can Study Manchester Police PhotosBy Josh Rogers on Thursday, May 1, 2003.The State Supreme court has ruled that the public has the right to review photographs taken by Manchester police officers. The decision affirms a lower court ruling in a suit brought by the New Hampshire civil liberties union. The organization wants to analyze the photos to determine if the Manchester police department engaged in racial profiling. The photos date back to 1998, and were snapped during stops that did not result in arrests. |
