Nonprofits in New Hampshire

The �New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits� has released a first-of-its kind study on the health of non-profit organizations in the Granite State. The report finds that the number of nonprofits has gone up in the past ten years.

Spending by nonprofits has nearly doubled and their assets are up even more. In fact, as New Hampshire Public Radio�s Doug MacPherson reports, the nonprofit sector has become major economic force.

NH Community Reacts to MA. Supreme Ct Ruling

New Hampshire's gay and lesbian community is applauding yesterday's Supreme Court decision in Massachusetts.

Justices there have ruled that it is a violation of the state's constitution to deny same sex couples the right to marry.

Today's ruling in the Bay State follows a similar decision in Vermont three years ago.

But as New Hampshire Public Radio's Mark Bevis reports, gays and lesbians in New Hampshire are taking a different tack.
