Better Together

Events like 9/11 highlighted the need for social and civic involvement in our communities. To find ways to engage in what author Robert Putnam calls "social capital". Putnam along with co-author Lew Feldstein highlight some of the programs going on around the country, like the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative in Boston and the Shipyard Project at the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. Laura's guests are Lew Feldstein, President of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and Robert Putnam, Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University. Both are co-authors of "Better Together: Restoring the American Community".
