Eric L Plaintiffs Sue NH AgainBy Mark Bevis on Thursday, January 16, 2003.Plaintiffs have filed suit in U.S. District Court in Concord against the state of New Hampshire. They charge the state has not complied with its five year old settlement agreement in the Eric L. case. That case alleged that the state's treatment of abused and neglected children violated federal law. Kenneth Barns is the litigation director at New Hampshire Legal Assistance, and one of the plaintiff attorneys. He described the new legal action to NHPR's Mark Bevis. |
