Affordable Housing Isn't

A new study titled "Out of Reach" finds what many people in New Hampshire already know.

If you make minimum wage, housing is unaffordable in this state or anywhere else in the country.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition in Washington issued the report.

Sheila Crowley is the organization's president.

She describes how the report comes up with the figures.

Fernald, Benson Clash Over Funding

Gubernatorial candidates Mark Fernald and Craig Benson attacked each other's education funding plans today.

Each accused the other of fuzzy math and false promises that will lead to massive deficits.

Lunch No Longer Silent at Milton Elementary

Starting Monday, silent lunch will no longer be so silent at Milton Elementary School. The school had adopted a no-talking rule because mealtime was so chaotic some students were complaining of headaches and stomachaches. Lisa Perkins is Microsociety Coordinator at Milton Elementary. She says the student government objected to the policy.
