ArchivesFeds Review New Hampshire HospitalsBy Dan Gorenstein on Tuesday, May 28, 2002.The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is reviewing four New Hampshire health facilities to determine if they are treating all their patients equally. U.S. law requires facilities receiving federal funding provide interpreters to non-English speaking patients to ensure proper medical treatment. But HHS has reason to believe some New Hampshire facilities may not be living up to their obligations. The health care providers under review insist their policies meet federal standards.
