UNH President Joan Leitzel Prepares to Depart

Sometime this month, the trustees of the University of New Hampshire are expected to name the institution?s 19th President. Meanwhile, many at UNH are taking long last looks at the 18th President, who steps down in june. Joan Leitzel is widely hailed as one of the most successful presidents in the university?s 136-year history. NHPR?s Doug MacPherson reports.

UCS Gives Thumbs-up to Florida Power and Light

While Government and Utility industry officials are applauding the proposed sale of Seabrook, so is at least one nuclear safety organization. Florida Power and Light owns two nuclear facilities in Florida, Turkey Point and St. Lucie. And David Lochbaum, a nuclear safety engineer with the Union of Concerned Scientists told NHPR's Mark Bevis the company has a good safety record.

Florida Power and Light to Buy Seabrook Nuke

Florida Power and Light today released more information on their proposed purchase of Seabrook Station.
News of the nuclear power plant's sale was announced late Monday and has been applauded by company and government officials. Correspondent Roger Wood reports.
