What Will UNH's New Research Vessel Do?

Among those most keenly interested in the construction of a new NOAA research vessel is Andy Armstrong, Co-Director of the NOAA-UNH Joint Hydrographic Center, and a retired NOAA Captain. NHPR's Doug MacPherson spoke with Armstrong at his laboratory on the UNH campus earlier today. Doug asked Armstrong to describe what the new vessel will look like.

UNH Gets Funds for New Research Vessel

A new 14 million dollar research vessel will be based at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in New Castle. As Correspondent Roger Wood reports, preliminary work on the ocean-mapping ship will be getting underway shortly.
