Penny Pitou was on the US skiing team in two Winter Olympics and won two silver medals in the 1960 games. Today she owns Penny Pitou travel agency and leads group tours to to Europe for skiing and hiking. She'll talk about her Olympic experiences, the rest of her successful skiing career, and her life since then.

As much as 70 percent of the processed food available for sale today in the United States contains one or more ingredients that have been genetically modified. That means genes from one plant ? in some cases, from an animal ? have been artificially introduced into another plant. As the practice has spread, so has the controversy surrounding it. For the past five months, New Hampshire has been part of an unusual effort to draw citizens into the debate and the group just reached some conclusions. NHPR?s Doug MacPherson reports.

In a marathon 11-hour session yesterday, the state senate haggled, debated and voted on gambling, jet skis, campaign finance, groundwater and about 75 other pieces of legislation. And while senators periodically shifted seats, stretched out on leather couches, and held up the walls, one senator stood out. In fact, for the better part of the session, he was standing.
