Concord Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House

Peter Athern of Stoddard was able to move his mother to the Concord Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House so that her final days were peaceful and without pain. He says there's no better alternative to home care than the Hospice House.

Odyssey House

Megan Welvert of Manchester was in state custody when she dropped out of high school. She went to Odyssey House to get her GED. Now she's pursuing a Human Services degree and working at an afterschool program for at-risk kids.

Senior Companion Program

Joyce Chase of Northfield is a Senior Companion. She meets with four local women, each of whom lives alone, to run errands or go out to eat.

New Hampshire Lakes Association

Dick Beyer has a home on Newfound Lake. The New Hampshire Lakes Association sent lake hosts to Newfound and other lakes to educate residents and check for invasive species such as milfoil.

Listen Community Services

Dan Downs of Lebanon cooks for the Listen Community Services, which provides meals and companionship for those who need food or don't want to have to eat alone.

Good News Garage

Carol is a single mother of two in Franklin. She takes her children to daycare in Northfield and has classes and meetings in Concord and Manchester. When her van died, Good News Garage gave her a loaner vehicle so she could continue to be self-sufficient.
