"Choose Life" License Plates

The New Hampshire pro-life movement wants to establish a new license plate to spread its message and raise dollars for like-minded organizations. Opponents say it places the state where it doesn't belong-in the middle of the abortion debate. Laura's guests are State Representative Daniel Itse, who's sponsoring legislation to create the tags www.state.nh.us, and Jennifer Frizzell, Public Affairs Director for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England www.ppnne.org.

Two Very Different NH Filmmakers

Skip Tenczar created a short documentary on body piercing and tattooing. David Millstone made a film about legendary musician Bob McQuillen and contra dance in New Hampshire. Their films are being shown this weekend at the first Somewhat North of Boston film festival in Concord.

"Wha' Happened?" Democrats Scratch their Heads

Republicans are celebrating, and Democrats are licking their wounds and looking toward 2004.

It may not be too great an exaggeration to say Tuesday night's Republican Party win at the polls surprised the nation.

Not one poll seemed to predict such an overwhelmingly GOP victory.

But Andy Smith, the director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, tells NHPR's Mark Bevis the polls were accurate all along.

Benson Transition Team Punches In
