Foster Care

North Country Economy

A shut down at Pulp and Paper of America's pulp mill and a partial closing of the paper mill has many North Country residents concerned about the future of the region's economy. Berlin Mayor Bob D'Anderson says he'd like to diversify by bringing in a federal prison and gambling. We'll talk about these ideas and the overall impact of mill troubles. Secession

Residents of Rye and Newington are abuzz with
proposals to secede from New Hampshire if the current school funding mechanism stays in place. These two towns are considered "donor towns", paying a statewide property tax that goes to help other towns fund schools. Charles Bass

Forest Fires
