ArchivesPolice Chiefs Condemn Illegal ProfilingBy Dan Gorenstein on Tuesday, June 19, 2001.New Hampshire has one of the smallest minority populations in the nation. With that fact in mind, one would not imagine the issue of racial profiling would be much of a problem here. And state law enforcement officers aim to keep it that way. Police chiefs from across the state met for a conference last week in Portsmouth to discuss racial profiling. And one lesson taught was that officers must assure the public that police departments will not tolerate any type of illegal profiling. NHPR?s Dan Gorenstein attended the conference and has this report. listen: No audio currently available. Order on CD (pdf).
