Lessons from Election 2000

One of the most tumultuous elections this country has ever seen raised questions over fairness, the role of the courts, and who really won. We’ll discuss what changes are taking place as a result, and the broader impact of Election 2000. Laura talks with Washington Post columnist E. J. Dionne, Jr. He’s also a senior fellow in the Governmental Studies program at the Brookings Institution(www.brookings.edu). Her other guest is William Kristol, editor and publisher of the Weekly Standard(www.weeklystandard.com). Dionne and Kristol are co-editors of “Bush v Gore: The Court Cases and the Commentary.”

Deerfield Writer Collects Mothers' Stories

Emily Moore of Deerfield is a writer and the mother of two. When her own children were very young, she began collecting and writing down the stories for the book, "Strong Stuff: Mothers' Stories." The book explores the experience of motherhood, in all of its many facets, through the stories of dozens of mothers.
